Plus Website Redesign
Bad Website To Good
Bad Website To Good
This was a school project in my web 2 class where I had to find a website online that I found was poorly designed and redesign it. I had 9 days to research, plan and work on the website redesign. I started with creating a mood board to get the look and feel of my target audience and to get prepared for how I want this website to play through. I then moved on to coming up with a site map and some sketches to show how the navigation would work on the site. I was instructed to research for a template then draw up my wireframes and Photoshop comps to fit that layout and look. I then used the template in Adobe Dreamweaver to edit the HTML and CSS code to make the template go with the website that I had imagined in my mind. I chose to redesign the main pages that were most important; Home, Accessories, Clothing, Skate, Brands, Plus, Contact, and also a few products pages to show how it would look and feel shopping on the site. After I had the main landing pages I needed at least one product page to show how the products would be laid out and viewed when shopping on the site so I designed out the "Decks" page and making four of those pages I could show how the products would be searched through with the next and previous page buttons that lead you to the next page of that same product. This project was extremely difficult to plan out and stick with schedule but I managed to get in a lot of time to work on this project in order to get as many pages as I could for the website.
