This university project was taken from an RSA brief called ‘The Good Journey’. The task was to identify a daily journey and improve it so that it improves it for many people.
My solution is a mobile application that allows users to record journeys (to work, shops, local places of interest etc,) so that they can refine their own route as well as share knowledge with other people.
The app mimics the effect of creating a trail of string through a journey marking the route on the go. Users can set markers (tie knots in the string) at landmarks of their choice to help with route memory.
When the user is satisfied a route is complete they can ‘cut the string’ and save and/or share the journey if they wish.
