The story of Hammer

A team effort to design a museum space that curates the facts and figures related to human being’s first tool ever, "hammer". This design was inspired by the events and stories that signify Hammers to its best. The museum consistsof a 3-story building and a huge dome-like chamber connected together by a roller coaster tube.

The museum has been divided into specific sections with the various aspects of hammer. It starts with “Hammer and its evolution” on the ground floor, “Social relevance of hammer” on thefirst floor, “Hammer in historical and mythological context” on the secondfloor and “Experiencing the great apocalypse of Ragnarok and witnessing the mighty hammer of Thor, the god of thunder, lightning and storm” on the third. The hemispherical chamber has a vaulted glass roof through which the tuberoller coaster runs. The roller coaster ride through the tube gives an experience of the great war between the gods and demons waged at Ragnarok andthe apocalypse that was brought upon in the land of Valhalla, followed by a rebirth of a new world. The new world has been replicated in the hemispherical chamber inside which, the roller coaster lands under water and connects to an underwater tube which takes people to the reincarnated Viking land of Valhalla.

Interior of the hemispherical chamber. Its represents the rebirth of a new viking land after the great apocalypse.
