Identity, as the heart of a person, forced me to evaluate who I am as a designer and prioritize what is most important for me to communicate through my work. My design is inspired by a humble yet intricate, thoughtful but overlooked household object: the doily. This object, while almost extinct in today’s culture and perhaps superfluous in its original context, nevertheless represents ideals that I hold dear and apply to my work and my life.
