Izumi City Shitajiki

School children in Japan use shitajiki to assist in smooth writing at their often times uneven and pock-marked desks. This plastic sheet can be bought in any brand's logo, character, or design you can think of. I was asked by the Izumi Board of Education to create an Izumi City themed shitajiki to give to the winners of an English contest, and as gifts to visitors of the city. I chose to use the city's logo as the main shape, stayed within a color palette that reflected the city flower, the daffodil, and filled it with places and things Izumi is known for.
Thanks for looking!
