Below is a compilation of the different walk cycles I created during this project.
I had a lot of trouble creating the walk cycle for the Gordon bear character. As we were supposed to be using a character we had previously designed, I used the character of Gordon from the Gordon's Kitchen project. However, he had a very rigid body which didnt enable the fluid movement that I wanted.
I remedied this by creating a simple walk for Gordon, which displayed the rigidity of his limbs, and then went on to create a new bear.
Below are designs for my new bear character. By initially drawing him in a three dimensional space, with form and weight enabled me to create a more fluid character to move in the way I wanted. This character was a happy little bear and so I wanted him to walk with a spring in his step, as can be seen in the video above.
