This painting is from the series "Rhythms" in which I built composition with gestural brushstrokes. Coloured inks are very translucent and allow me to paint in transparent layers which brings painting dimension of depth.
It is more intuitive way of working; the original idea often transform through the process of creation.
The result is very rhythmic, fluid and playful.
In terms of content, this painting is about pure joy.

I started this painting with deep dark blue, following through numeral shades of blue and white, finally reached pure whiteness. My intention was, simply to create transition from dark blue to white. In the process of creating, word wedding jump into my head. So I took it for the title.

One of my concepts is to create painting from variations of one kind of shape or line. In this painting I used only horizontal line with variations in dimension, colour and density of lines. The aim was to create calm and meditative atmosphere. My association is about calm surface of sea when the weather is nice. It is abstract painting, so you can have different association. This painting is also about play between cold and warm colours, which creates unique spaces.

This painting is from a cycle "Symbols". I used wings as a symbol for flying and freedom. The shape of wings is stylized with a view to create a pattern. With many shades of warm colours on the blue backgrounds I created vibrant rhythm as image of joy and free spirit.
