I worked at the Crystal River Nuclear Plant from 1996 through 2009. Originally hired to build the intranet for the nuclear unit, I continued to expand my area into internal communications. Reporting to the general plant manager, my position afforded me opportunity to communicate management initiatives. I was also a part of an Outage Communication Team which delivered two newsletter-style outage updates as well as a weekend 4-page spread as a look-back to the previous week's accomplishments.
