Canal Mills is a nightclub/arts venue housed in an old furniture warehouse just outside Leeds city centre. In addition to hosting club nights and bands, they also on occasion host the Brandon Street Night Market, a changing collection of street food vendors, craft beers and music.
The latest was on Friday 8th May and despite the horrendous weather outside, it seemed to be well attended.
Having missed the last couple of markets I was happy to make this one as the venue is of particular interest to me.
The building used is owned by my uncle who owns the furniture business next door. The last time I was in this space many years ago it was the customer showroom and I was working in the holidays in the warehouse and office.
Think I prefer it as a food market.
