WISS Felix 4.0

Airport crash tender is specialised, multipurpose vehicle designed for use in aircraft rescue and firefighting. Its effectiveness is related to many factors, but primarly to acceleration from 0 to 80 kilometers per hour, capacity of water/foam tanks and ability to perform in rough terrain outside the airport area.
The concept of WISS Felix 4.0 has been designed as a Bachelor Thesis in cooperation with Wawrzaszek ISS based in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. The design of the vehicle is a compromise between the current line of the company and new standards determined by competitors and most recent automotive trends. The modular bodywork can be mounted on 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8 wheeled chassis.
To improve the effectiveness of rescue and firefighting abilities of the vehicle and minimize the time between an accident and the end of the action, we have introduced a number of new technologies, such as an autonomous drone and heads-up display. This equipment allows the crew of the vehicle to precisely recognise the area of an accident due to the infrared, thermographic and TV cameras.
