TNT LEGENDS SEASON 2

TITLE SEQUENCE

I was commisioned by Loica Studios (Santiago, Chile) to develop the new ID, Logo, Conceptboards & Styleframes for the upcoming 2nd season of the TNT original series "LEGENDS" starring Sean Bean as Martin Odum. Martin Odum returns as a covert operative whose world is turned upside down when he discovers that everything he thought he knew about his life has been a lie. The main idea was to portrait Europe as it was during 2015, with its enduring social & economic conflicts. We were directed not to use Sean Bean's image as much, but on the context on which the series develops.

We introduced elements such as smoke, tear gas, molotov cocktails, clashes with police, statues, and noisy particles in post production to give it a chaotic feeling. Adding some glitches for some of the elements like the Tune-in, Title card and Endpages.

We were aiming to recreate the look and feel of the music video for Jay-Z & Kanye West's No Church In The Wild. Slow motion clashes of protestors with police, close up shots and a lot of action. Sadly the direction the studio took was a mix of Live Action, 3D and Animation so the final result looks rather staged and awkward.
