I was comissioned by chilean odd-harcore-metal act LERDO to do the artwork for their 4th studio album "Royal Estampida", mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan) and edited by chilean label TuneLess Records. Cool thing was these guys wanted —just as they did with their last album "división de oro"— to put out something original and unique, something that could offer some added value as a design object, to entice people into having physical copies of their work and appeal to a broader audience . So they came up with the idea of having this silkscreened plush doll/cushion, along with a tag where they could write the credits as well as a serial number to download the songs from their website. Here is the process and the result of this crazy and fun experiment.
