A valet stand is an oft-forgotten piece of furniture that provides an "in between" place for clothes like jackets, shoes, and belts don't necessarily go into the dirty clothes hamper but also might not be hung back up in the closet every day. (Think of it as a place to put the stuff that usually gets draped on the back of your desk chair.) 

This concept project was designed for the Ace Hotel and Swim Club in Palm Springs (see postcard above) to fit in with their kitchy Americana decor and provide image-conscious clientele a chance to display their heavily curated identity (via expensive jeans, carefully picked shoes, etc.) – even when the user is sipping a boozy snow-cone in the Swim Club's pool.
