Locafox is a location-based shopping app that lets users find and reserve products in stores around them. It also serves as a price comparison tool for products from both online and offline stores, providing users with complete transparency in regards to product prices in the market.
I did both product management and UX for the apps, and was later promoted to Head of Mobile & UX of the company.
Role:
- Product Strategy
- Product Management
- User Research
- User testing
- Information Architecture
- Interaction Design
- Wireframing & specification
Challenges:
- How and when would this service be helpful?
- How can this service be framed in a mobile context?
- What product & store information are most important to the user?
- What features could enhance the users' shopping experience and provide more transparency into market prices?
Methods:
- User interviews
- Surveys
- Persona creation
- User journey mapping
- Prototyping
- Guerilla user tests
- Remote online tests
- Beta groups
Solution:
The app should serve users' buy-intent purposes to help them find their desired products as quickly as possible while on the go. The flow should be as simple and short as possible, as the main goals of users are finding and reserving the best offer around them.
