Teachers at Parsons graphic design II summer course asked us to make a b/w "how to" poster using only one font family. Being an Italian in America, I was missing pizza and I decided to make it my subject.
International style posters immediately came to my mind as the perfect ispiration for my project, also considering the contrast it would create with something so colorful and chaotic like pizza.
Step 2 was making an animation and this time colors and pictures were allowed, it only needed to be consistent with the initial concept.
I kept using Helvetica Neue and the black background, but I colored some words and placed pictures from old cookbooks and magazines. An electric guitar playing tarantella was the finishing touch.
