she was feared and discriminated by people.
But, with her husband help, she can fit herself into society as a herbalist. "

"Being a mother of two sons, Ra (6) and Ruu (5)
she have nothing more to ask for."

"But at one point,
she have to face the worst tragedy in her life--
losing her beloved husband.
Will she be able to maintain her peaceful life without him?"
Raruurien is a heartwarming story about a small family in an ethnic-fantasy universe.

The background arts are focused on creating a peaceful village environment.

Concept Arts
The ethnic headress exploration are from hmong, turkish, mongolian, tibetan, and uzbekistan.
The final headress design is the combination of hmong and mongol (number 1 and 5)
Other than their bright blue eyes,
Ra and Ruu's appearance are opposite each other.
They are just like the moon and the sun.
Ruu is mostly pale (light colors are dominant) while
Ra has more contrast (balance in light and dark color).

The tribal of Dragon tribe are based on Dayak's dragon tribal
(Dayak is tribes that spread in Kalimantan, Indonesia).
Further from that, female and male dragon tribal are distinctive.
Male's have bold "eye" shape, and the composition is symmetrical.
Meanwhile female's tribal have tiny "eye" shape,
the composition is random and forming a pattern.
Female's tribal looks like a cluster of Cananga flower (cananga odorata)

There is still a lot to tell from one tribal pattern.
Moreover, there are different villages that have different tribal pattern and outfit fashion.
But let's save it for later
