Doyald Young: Typeface Designer, Teacher, Author (Sept. 12, 1926 - February 28, 2011)
One year ago today the inspiring Doyald Young, passed away. That day, processing the sad news, I found myself browsing my copies of his remarkable books. Upon coming to the cover of Fonts & Logos this idea came to me. I used his superb Young Finesse typeface.
I was honored that a few weeks later this image was used to promote his memorial service in San Diego Honoring Doyald Young.
