Notebook Cover Doodles

Most artists have fantastic doodles.  Here are a few of mine.  This is a work notebook that I happened to have at a family gathering.  I find myself in these situations and listening in to conversations as I doodle with whatever is on hand.  These two doodles became full blown illustrations simply due to the 3 days I had to work on them.  No real purpose or communication desired for them, simply created for fun and distraction.
If  you have never had the opportunity to play with the Pentel brush pen (http://www.pentel.com/store/pentel-pocket-brush-pen) you are missing out.  Every line in the below page was done in this single pen. It acts like a fine brush dipped in ink, but you never have to refil it or worry about using it on fine furnature!  This was the first time I used the brush, as it belonged to a cousin at the family gathering.
This is an unusual illustration for me, because I didn't base it on any research of the animals depicted, relying only on my known knowledge of the species.
