Leaders in any field must be able to manage differences, build relationships, and negotiate effectively. These interpersonal skills are also essential for navigating the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood. We develop patterns of communication over a lifetime of experience, but conflict management, relationship building and negotiation skills can be taught and practiced. By helping girls and young women build these skills today, we will help them become the healthy and confident leaders of tomorrow. 

 

The founder of Connect More is an attorney, consultant, and educator based in Philadelphia. A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, she has facilitated negotiation and conflict resolution workshops for high school, college and graduate students as well as executives at Harvard Law School, Penn Law School, Vienna University, Seeds of Peace (in Jerusalem), and various high schools across the Northeast. This spring, Rachel will be teaching an undergraduate negotiation course at Wharton. Prior to law school, Rachel taught at the International Montessori School of Prague. In addition to her work through Connect More, Rachel continues practicing law and serves as a Junior Board member of the Gesu School.
