Using the three letter code of my assigned airport, I created a monogram that represents the city of that airport. I then created a booklet detailing the process, rationale, and effective use of my monogram. This project was completed as a part of my Typography 1 class at the University of Kansas.

I was assigned the Orlando International Airport and its code, MCO. My lettermark captures the elegant nature of “The City Beautiful.” The organic, flowing letters echo the natural beauty that can be found throughout Orlando in locations such as the famous Lake Eola Park. The city prides itself on being a major tourist destination, and so my lettermark feels welcoming and inviting with its humanist typeface.
