Benefits of Karmic Treeless Pulp manufacturing - what our packaging is made from:
Our Treeless pulp is made from crop waste. Once a crop is harvested, all the remaining parts of the plant
(which are essentially very useful cellulose) are collected and turned into pulp. This is highly beneficial to
the environment because crop waste is normally burnt, giving off masses of C02 each year.
Treeless pulp is a bi-product and therefore requires no additional agricultural land or deforestation to produce.
The product does not compete with food crops, which is an important factor for the farming communities
involved.
The pulp is an efficient and ultra-modern pulping process; the manufacturing process and supply chain has
been designed specifically to combat issues of carbon emissions and deforestation from the outset.
It has also been taken into consideration that the price must be competitive with alternatives currently on
the market, such as recycled papers and pulps and traditional tree based paper and pulps.
The process of manufacturing the pulp uses far less chemicals and energy than tree paper and recycled
paper too. The treeless pulp manufacturing creates green jobs for local communities, so that they don't need to move away from their community and support networks to raise their families and have a decent quality of living.
