Project: Expressionism 'Mans Relationship with Light'

Explorative project for my Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Studies at Cardiff and Vale College, South Wales. This expressionist project allowed me to explore an artistic theme of choice. I decided to explore 'Mans relationship with light', in particular how man has tried to replicate light, and man's obsession with it's radiant beauty; A lava flow becomes a lava lamp, a rainbow becomes a euphoria of multi coloured disco lights.
Light is something which embraces us all in some way or another. In these light drawings, I wanted to show light as a euphoric, liberating, a spiritual experience and something which the viewer could connect or relate with.
