Sport Talent
+ Non-profit branding

Sport Talent is a non-profit focused on advancing and cultivating Mexican Athletes across the country, aiding them with nutrition, education, housing and training. My proposal focuses on a modern approach that integrates both sport and non-profit language along with ancient symbols from México’s oldest sport “ulama” (the Mesoamerican ballgame).

For the logo’s mark I did a visual simplification of the double-headed serpent, honoring the long history of serpents in México; from being part of the founding symbol of the country, to being the image of Aztec god Quetzalcóatl (pron. Quet-zal-co-atl), the snake symbolizes both re-birth and opportunity. For the photography, I focused on using active and inspiring images that were representative of Sport Talent’s current triathlon program. Everything was then integrated pragmatically to produce an identity that connects deeply with Mexican roots while communicating with a modern and fresh language.
