NEW BERN, NC – The Texas Tenors, one of the hottest new groups to hit the country crossover scene, will perform in New Bern on Thursday, February 18, 2016. This charismatic and talented trio sings music from the worlds of country, folk, opera and Broadway, entertaining with breathtaking vocals, humor and a bit of cowboy charm. The New Bern Historical Society presents The Texas Tenors for the Society’s annual fundraising concert at the Riverfront Convention Center.
The Texas Tenors first achieved fame on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and remain the top-ranked vocal group in the history of the show. Since their whirlwind debut five years ago, group members Marcus Collins, J.C. Fisher, and John Hagen have collaborated with renowned symphonies around the world, produced two albums, toured and performed in numerous places including Branson, Missouri, the United Kingdom, and China. The Tenors have appeared on numerous network television shows, starred in their own Emmy Award-winning PBS special, and were ranked among the Top 10 Classical Album Artists of the Year in 2014.
“This will be a terrific concert for New Bern with something for everybody," says Lynne Harakal, executive director of the New Bern Historical Society. "The Texas Tenors have a large and loyal following." Harakal, expecting a sell-out performance, encourages early buying. Tickets will go on sale November 23.
The Historical Society is offering a special holiday ticket sleeve ornament, featuring The Texas Tenors, to the first 100 buyers. Tickets are $35 for General Seating, $55 for Preferred, and $125 for Sponsor/VIP preferred seating, including a wine and cheese reception and opportunity to meet the group before the show.
