Art in Antarctica is a cultural program that starts up because of the responsibility of taking care of the Antarctic heritage and the environment of our planet. Through the External Relationships Department of the Argentine Government, the Antarctic National Management started this cultural program leaded by the argentine artist Andrea Juan, whose artwork is based on scientist researches combined with a reflection about the preservation of environment.

“Art in Antarctica”
This project 's main objective is to create seven Posters, each one dedicated to participating artist.
The Poster idea is born by the desire to understand ice as a point for the Project. Moving from the point of “ice” onwards, I suggest the possibility of treating this cold and white context as its only and main object of Poster with the purpose of highlighting the main idea. The work itself has its focus on the area of the frozen continent, and I try to communicate the idea using visual metaphor. The seven Posters have been used a copies of small pieces of frozen Antarctica, it’s texture reproduction. A combination of all Posters creates one large picture of Antarctica.
