As part of a studio term project in the M.Arch 1 program at the University of Toronto, we had to develop a spanning form with a pattern of columnar support. The form would be stacked three times, with a series of stairs connecting all floors.
I made the stacked floors as angular faceted surfaces, which when orientated in the opposite direction, would hold the floors above through a series of pivot points.
