To Celebrate the 2012 African Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea and promote the Out of Africa Campaign, showcasing the contribution of Africa and some of the world’s greatest players to football in the UK. we have teamed up with football writer, Adrian Kajumba, to create 4 Designs for 4 Weeks.
This weeks design is "42 Weeks of Hurt". 42 years of hurt was replaced with unbridled joy when Sudan ended their African Cup of Nations hoodoo. The Falcons of Jediane edged out Burkina Faso 2-1 to record their first ACN victory in 11 games since they won the competition in 1970.
And that narrow success was enough to see Sudan sneak through to the last eight, where they will face Zambia tomorrow (Saturday), for the first time since they were crowned champions.
