Adapting “The Moon Opera” to dance has been Wang Yabin’s dream for many years, not only due to the engrossing nature of Bi Feiyu’s novel but also because in it, she discovered the central theme of “where to pin one’s life”—a question on which everyone, Wang believes, should ponder. Xiao Yanqiu pinned hers on Qing Yi (a theatrical female figure performed by male or female usually costumed in black), but Wang herself pins her life on the art of dance. In dance she sees constantly the “pain of life,” which, she says, something you learn about through dancing how to endure life when it’s painful such as at the time you have lost something or someone you love. The narrative structure of dialogue will challenge the audience imaginations, as will the co-relativity of worlds of reality and that of fantasy, and the subconscious with the surreal. Such mental processes—the constant cognitive attempts to rationalize and make sense— attributive to the determinants of the story’s development and the show’s dynamism. Most important of all, it’s the senses the work is to make, the values that audience can take while watching it from various contradictions, that one will keep pondering to constantly recognize, understand, explain,  it’s all these what make this piece of art creation so breathtaking, attractive as well as fascinating. When The Moon Opera had been to American for the performance,She was commented as "the coolest Chinese choreographer" by Dance Magazine(US).
