2012: Vacation
The Long Weekend
My father had a reunion last January in his hometown. While we were there, I decided to make the stay a little bit more productive. I conducted my own Photowalk with my sibling and cousin. While on the shoot, I decided to take random pictures of the people of the barrio and, surprisingly, the random scenes weren't just any random at all.
I decided to make this project an act for a social cause. These pictures are a visual representation of what our society is meddling with nowadays. The issues about poverty, education, graft and corruption, pollution, homelessness, drugs, lack of jobs, population, global warming, and a lot of other social issues that we face everyday. These pictures are only a subtle representation of what we do in our society.
I hope that this campaign will be another step for us to make a change.
