ZEEF.com is an online directory, focused on collecting links about one subject in one place.
The problem of the current design was that it was considered cluttered and outdated; it was complicated to find relevant information, and in general the design did not represent the brand's values.
The main goal was to redesign website in such a way that it become more usable, intuitive, and attractive at the same time. It was essential that the platform is easy to use from various devices and would be easy to share.
The main feature of the website is an ability to create a list with links and then group it in one page. It may be an overview of tutorials regarding, for example, game development, or an overview of graphic design resources.
The platform might also used as a bookmarking tool,(since the private pages are allowed), so it should be easy to find and place one's links in the right place.
One of the challenges were to create a feeling of space, since the previous design was considered too cluttered by users. Thus the decision was made to eliminate certain elements in the header (for example, move all editing functionality to "edit" tab) and to group the rest in one place.
Another challenge was the navigation: user testing showed that having just lists and pages was not enough. Users were confused and lost, when the pages were too big. Thus the solution was to introduce the sub-titles, which according to users made the situation way easier.
Users were happy about the new layout decisions, and so was the client. So currently the design is in implementation phase and is waiting for it's A/B testing.
