Some stuff around Hallowell, ME

I love the town of Hallowell, ME.

There. I said it. Well, it's never been much of a secret. If I could live there today, I would.

These are some shots from a trip I took up there one day to shoot images.
There's a lot of granite in Hallowell and the surrounding towns of Manchester and Gardner. http://historichallowell.mainememory.net/page/1506/display.html This quarry is on Winthrop St, which is also known as Granite Hill. Lot's of material there. http://bit.ly/1LpVa8f. There's crane there that I shot the rust pics (you'll see) from.
Colleen—my wife—always teases me because I take pictures of rust. But, it's true. I love the color and texture of rust—especially when it is pushing through paint. The crane in the Google Street View (http://bit.ly/1LpVa8f) is where I took these.
I shot quite a few more that I'll play with later, but this is a perfect example of a rust shot I like quite a lot.
Then I ventured onto Water Street. This is my dad's old building. I miss this place. It was pretty important during my college years.
I guarantee that this chair was some kid's hangout. It was beside the railroad track under the bridge that is a part of Second Street. You can see the bridge and the tracks that make up the railroad with Google maps: http://bit.ly/1MjxYqA
Then I headed along beside the tracks to the trestle. http://bit.ly/1JidvxZ In this link, you can look around with your mouse, so you can look up into the areas I shot.
