Sergi Arbusà created the installation Espai 1 at the University of Barcelona. It was an investigative project exploring the creative possibilities of the inflatable.
Initially envisioned as an experimental sculptural piece to be experienced solely from the outside, it soon became clear that the inflatable could be entered, offering double the potential first thought.
University colleagues were invited to trial the space – and Penique productions was born.
Sergi Arbusà crea la obra Espai 1 en la Universitat de Barcelona. La propuesta es el resultado de la investigación sobre la creación de una obra escultórica inflable e invasiva que pretendía impedir el acceso del espectador al lugar de exposición, generando así una reacción que a su vez completaría la obra.
En el transcurso de este proceso creativo la misma instalación se descubre accesible, ofreciendo un mayor potencial desde su interior. De esta forma, se origina el proyecto: nace Penique productions.
