What’s the project all about?

First of all, it’s a self-initiated project. The innermost of mine.
It could be a project about type, about color or about composition. But it’s not.

The only idea of this project is about ME trying to master the habit of making. Every day, for a whole year (a whole fuckin’ year!), I managed to take some (extra)time to bring an idea to life. I had two rules. The main rule is whatever happens, including accidents (check), deaths (double check), surgery (check), trips (too many checks) etc., I will continue to create one poster per day. Sometimes the project worked like a personal graphic journal, sometimes I celebrated an event and other times it was just a mix of nerves, emotions, boredom.

The second rule (not as important as the first one) is to use only type for bringing each poster to life. Why? Because I’m slightly obsessed with type. In one video, Harry Pearce (Pentagram Partner) said that “type’s amazing! you can solve anything with type.”

The best description of the entire project is not mine. It’s an extract from the “Walking” project of Mitch Goldestein.
“We do not try to make things well. We do not try to make things that are finished or complete. We change materials, tools, and processes on a whim. We do not have a brief, an assignment, or a goal in mind. We just make things.”

Of course it’s not an entirely original project (I’m a designer for fuck’s sake). I was inspired by Mr. Mitch Goldstein project "Walking" and by Michael Bierut’s assignment for his students—“100 days project”.
