Yangcu - Unconventional Brand Manual

This project is a personal extension of "Yangcu - A Cultural Brand Identity" which explores how a brand manual can be designed as part of a bigger user experience.

Yangcu's brand manual is an unconventional take on the classic manual, where the user can interact with the various elements that make up Yangcu's visual identity.
Concept
A brand manual usually is used to show all the guidelines of a brand's visual identity, and it's often targeted at designers with a certain cultural background.
However, when we designed the Yangcu brand, we had in mind a broad targe that would include various kinds of people.
 
Yangcu's visual identity is based on the Degars' handicraft, and it is a vehicle to spread its core elements and its overall feeling.
 
The goal of this manual, other than show the underlying structure of Yangcu's identity, is to show the values and the rules of the visual culture of the Degars.
