In June this year, I joined the TEDxLjubljana team as a co-organizer and designer. I've been a fan of TED Talks for years, so being a part of something as close to TED Talks as TEDx is, was a decision I wanted to make for a long time, but just didn't see how I could contribute. In the past years however, I have had numerous event-related experiences through my projects - working on medical conferences of all shapes and sizes, so I thought why not try and offer my experiences and skills to TEDxLjubljana's team.
On our first meeting, we soon drew the conclusion that a graphic designer, a creative person, is more then needed at the TEDxLjubljana team, so I jumped at the chance and offered my services as a designer. The first role I took on, as a TEDxLjubljana designer was a full redesign of the existing website, which was a much needed feat. Planning and designing the TEDxLjubljana official website was a blast. The website is being coded by folks at Gooya. The redesigned website will be launched in a couple of days. Looking forward to it coming to "life".
