This is a WIP project borne out of using a church social app, The City.. I found that it had far too many features that most members of the church didn't use.
I named it, 'The Garden' becuase this app is a place where people grow, and is the antithesis to The City. The Garden is a place that gets you what you need to grow, and then gets out of the way.
I distilled their app down to just a few goals - Finding church information, coordinating groups, and church member communication. One important, and absent feature, is in-app communication. Any time communication is encouraged, it is always through the native messaging or phone - not through its own chat platform. I certainly don't need another place to check messages.
