Follow the YBR (Yellow Brick Road) is a family of urban furniture that stats with the simplest element of the project, a cobble.
I was inspired by the film The Wizard of Oz and I draw on Escher's drawing. In this starting point, I design a cobble with a peculiar shape that allows me a lot of possibilities; combining colors, changing the placement between them, their willingness. So I designed a seemingly simple brick to obtain a complexity of patterns.
I decided to carry out the design on precast concrete material; first because I get to the desired shape, also allows me to color it, is low cost and it doesn't cracks. It hasn't maintenance, or very little. It is adapted to cycles of freezing and thawing. It is easy to install and it is easy to replace. And it could be reused in a high percentage.
Pavers measures are 28.5 x 16.5 cm., and it can be done in thicknesses of 6, 8 and 10cm.
The precast concrete pavers allow different colors such as black, brown, red, beige, green or white. And the shape allow different patterns, as I show in the drawing.
