Otto is an extensible table made with wood and slate. Organic and inorganic materials mixed to create an elegant, modern and comfortable dining table.
I choosed two kinds of wood to create an elegant combination. These woods are oak an bog oak. I play with its natural color contrast to achieve the desired finish without using dyes or paints.
In opposition to the warmth of wood, I decided to use slate to finished the top of the table. This inert, cold and heavy material was used to enhance the strength of the object, to provided it with an enigmatic stiffness.
