One of the projects we did in the Professional Context Unit, was to make a promotional poster. In that occasion I made a poster for the final degree show, for us graphic designer students at Southampton Solent University. Going to Southampton to study was for me a good way to seize a great opportunity. The final degree show was in the same way a really good opportunity for parents, friends and all people of Southampton to come and see what the city's design students had been doing all year long. 

 

I also seized the opportunity to show off some handmade typography skills I developed over the three years of my studies, and gave the poster a handmade feeling. Sketching is an important part of developing an idea, and it has been important in all our work (and still is). Therefore it was only fitting to make a great drawing of the text, and including the fact that Southampton is a city kind of by the sea.
