A Collection of Visual Identities

When we had our exam on Norges Kreative Høyskole, the brief was to create an identity for our very own festival. I chose to make a Crossword Puzzle festival that was going to take place in a small town in Norway called Bryne. The festival was going to take place in 2015, which also marks the 90 year anniversary for crossword puzzles in Norway. The logo and the illustrations that I designed for it is inspired by De Stijl, which was a Dutch artisticmovement founded in 1917 in Amsterdam. The style works well together with all the squares that you already find in crosswords.
'Fryd' is the name of the magazine I made on NKH. My magazine was going to be an inspiration for everyday life. Fryd is a magazine for people that likes to create and do things themselves.
One of the last assignments on NKH was to make package design. This logo was made for a new brand of sanitary pads. I figured us women are kind of facing a little battle of our own with our menstrul cycle, and since my fictional client was italian, I did some research on female gladiatiors, and the ancient Rome. One of the gladiatiors was called Amazona, and that is what I ended up calling the brand.

For the logo, I found inspiration in triumphal arches, which the romans used to raise after a triumph. I figured it might give motivation to keep "fighting" through our periods. I also found inspiration in Italian tiles, as it is for a pack of pads which you might find in a bathroom. The pattern underneath the logo is used as the 5th element, and to dress the packages of pads.

This is a collection of a few different logos that I made in my second year of my graphic design studies at Norges Kreative Høyskole.
