The AIA Central building is one of the highest quality fit-outs for the tenant common spaces in Asia.
When CIRCA was asked to develop a new desk that would reflect the client’s development of a ‘customer care concept’; our prime concern was not to intrude in such a balanced space. We knew the greatest challenge would be finding matching material if we went down the route. Once the marble finish option was agreed, a search was started immediately to locate the right colour tone, pattern, translucency, sheet size; and an acceptable book matching pattern. With such a pure material in the stone, the rest of the construction was carried out in satin stainless steel and grey corian as a clean, neutral back drop. One of the greatest challenges was angling the stone forwards, given the material load.
