Creating a strong identity in neutral finishes, to provide a backdrop for high end contemporary furniture.
The client has owned the 4 storey period building for a number of years, & reached a point where it made sense to turn the floors into a flagship store displaying all the corporate office furniture brands they represent in Asia. The character of the ceiling structure was a natural feature to reveal, & a starting point to develop a simple language of texture. The timber floor was selected to reflect their clients’ own design direction towards a warmer, more homely corporate office design. The existing rusted steel window frames are planned to be changed to a black satin painted finish for clarity of view into the showroom.
