The Lifeboat Station Project: Behind-the-Scenes

As seen on my Instagram feed, a selection of location highlights behind-the-senes on The Lifeboat Station Project — my mission to document all 237 RNLI* Lifeboat Stations in Britain & Ireland using Victorian photographic methods.

The photographs depict my 1905 Thornton Pickard 12x10 inch plate camera, which I use to help me make Ambrotypes (positive images fixed on glass using Wet Plate Colllodion) and Neena, my mobile darkroom (a converted NHS ambulance).
