Eight boathouse views from the inaugural trip of The Lifeboat Station Project — my mission to document all 237 RNLI* Lifeboat Stations in Britain & Ireland using Victorian photographic methods.
Each boathouse view is a new piece in a giant jigsaw, the true glory of which will be realised when all 237 plates are placed geographically around an exhibition space.
Indeed, I have placed all the photographs below from the Norfolk & Suffolk coast in order from North to South:
1. Hunstanton
2. Wells
3. Sheringham
4. Cromer
5. Happisburgh
6. Great Yarmouth & Gorleston
7. Lowestoft
8. Southwold
All the photographs are 12x10 inch Ambrotypes (wet plate collodion positive images on glass).
