Character Design
Designing Charlie-bird and Tommy entailed a lot of subtle proportional considerations and designing wings that could function like arms with communicative hands. The duo plays into Laurel & Hardy and Abbott & Costello types and their respective dispositions are immediately evident. The Cockney gangster theme is further reinforced by the black-on-white tie shape on the enforcer Tommy's breast and Charlie-bird's unkempt coif helps cast him as the shyster.
