Patio Pampatar was created for a new mall located in Pampatar, Margarita Island, Venezuela. A photograph of the San Carlos de Borromeo Castle inspired us; this fort, located in Pampatar, literally down the road from the mall is an iconic architectural site that dates back to the spanish colonies in the caribbean, it's lines can be seen and percieved in the branding process.
We selected a earthy color palette to connect this contemporary project to the historic background of the area, and created patterns as a complementary piece directly referencing the classic colonial mosiacs and tapestries of Pampatar, but with a modern twist.
