Special Music Education Symposium 2007 - 2010

Visual identity for the Special Music Education Symposium

Scientific, academic and artistic material, focused on teachers who work with music education for people with special needs.

Concept: Regardless of differences, everyone is able to make art. Inclusion and diversity in the musical learnership didatics are essential to face the challenge of transcending the limits of disableness. Different shapes as triangles, squares, circles and pentagons represent inclusion, through united different elements composing a musical note, the brand symbol.
The Project

Aesthetics: elements which feature seriousness of a scientific event, focused on teachers' didatics for music, inclusion and art;

Social: Inclusion idea, everyone can make music, with no distinction of race, social class, being a special person or not.

Culture: The event and material are focused on music teachers specialised in didatics for special people, but any other person who does not fit this profile can access the content, if interested in it. The challenge is that a developing country culture is based on a belief that a special person is automatically excluded from society. Opposing this idea, inclusion is definitely possible through a well directed and oriented work.
