Machinery can be beautiful and bold . . . sculpture with a purpose.
The object here was to make a utilitarian object interesting and engaging. Careful use of digital distortion and a fair amount of photo illustration transform the ordinary into something more compelling. The ground was actually captured in camera as-is (it is a textured rubber mate), and the flip-flop 3D light effect was a really nice surprise.
