Because sparks are ALWAYS cool.
Nothing lights up an image like sparks. A long exposure on this spinning grinding wheel and some good luck combine to create a nice composition showing machinery in action. Some of the sparks had to be duplicated to fill out the image because the material being ground wasn't as "sparky" as hoped, but it wasn't anything our good friend Photoshop couldn't handle.
