The program request demands for 60,000sqm to be equally divided between sport facilities, residential and commercial spaces along with a museum. We're therefore talking about all those activities that characterize a urban setting (living, working, trading, free time and art). The purpose of this concept is to integrate under one roof all of the above mentioned spaces leaning towards an exchange between the activities.The building has been conceived as a big machinery that considers the dominance of the railway making it part of the context. The space is organized along horizontal stratifications on four levels of the whole site surface. This allows to develop a covered public space on ground level, sport facilities on the central storey and a roof hotel.The horizontal structure is composed of two levels of Vierendel beams 6 mts high that are hooked to three vertical volumes rested on the corners of the triangular site. Here are located circulation, service rooms, offices and the museum.
